Why this jar

What raw actually means here

100% natural raw honey

Straight from the honeycomb, filtered only to take out large debris such as chunks of pollen and beeswax.

Never pasteurised

High heat during pasteurisation can destroy honey’s natural properties. Ours is never heated.

Pollen, propolis and enzymes

Raw honey keeps bee pollen, propolis, enzymes, amino acids, vitamins and minerals that processing strips out.

Certified South Carolina Grown

Only first-quality products grown in South Carolina that meet US #1 Quality Grade Standard or higher may carry the logo.

Our story

About Our Apiary

In 2020, following our owner’s near-death experience with Covid, Nick decided to get back into beekeeping.

Nick grew up with bees while living in Western New York, and beekeeping was something he always wanted to get back into. Like with all things in life, Nick couldn’t find the time to do this.

From hive to jar

How the honey is made

  1. The bees work the wildflowers

White holly, blackberry and tulip poplar. What is in bloom decides the flavour, which is why it changes every year.

  2. Straight from the honeycomb

Filtered only to remove large debris — chunks of pollen and beeswax.

  3. No pasteurising, no heat

The antioxidants, enzymes and nutrients stay where the bees put them.

  4. Packed under SC DHEC rules

Jarred and labelled in South Carolina, to state regulations.

🐝 Ever wonder how a honeybee hive swarms?

Swarming is how a healthy honeybee colony naturally reproduces. When a hive becomes crowded and strong, the bees begin raising new queens in special queen cells.

Before the new queens emerge, the old queen leaves with thousands of worker bees—sometimes taking half the colony with her! They fill the air in an incredible cloud before gathering on a nearby tree, branch, fence, or other object.

That big cluster of bees is the swarm. Scout bees then search for the perfect new home. Once they agree on a location, the entire swarm takes off together and moves in. 🏡🐝

Meanwhile, back at the original hive, a new queen emerges, mates, and takes over the colony.

One thriving colony has now become two. Nature’s way of making more honeybees! 🍯🐝

👑🐝 QUEEN SPOTTED & MARKED!

There’s nothing quite like finding the queen in a thriving hive! We got this beautiful girl marked, and her colony is absolutely BOOMING. 💪🍯

Strong brood pattern, tons of activity, and thousands of healthy workers doing what they do best. This is exactly what we love to see when we open a hive!

A strong queen is the heart of an amazing colony — and this one is doing her job. 👑🐝

🍯🌿 NEW FROM BLACK BUTTERFLY HONEY! 🌿🍯

Introducing our South Carolina Wildflower Honey infused with Ceylon Cinnamon — a warm, naturally delicious combination of local honey and one of the world’s most prized varieties of cinnamon.

🐝 Pure Raw South Carolina Wildflower Honey
🌿 Infused with Ceylon Cinnamon
🍯 Rich, smooth & naturally sweet
✨ Small-batch crafted in South Carolina

Ceylon cinnamon brings a delicate, slightly sweet warmth that pairs beautifully with the floral notes of our wildflower honey — without overpowering the honey itself.

Drizzle it over toast, biscuits, oatmeal, pancakes or fruit. Stir it into coffee or tea. Add it to marinades and glazes. Or just grab a spoon. 🥄🍯

South Carolina honey. Ceylon cinnamon. Nothing complicated — just an incredible combination.
